This is an important updated announcement about matchdays at the Crest Finance Stadium and we urge all supporters to make themselves fully aware of the following information.
This week’s announcements by the government about changes to the Covid-19 guidance means there will be further changes to our matchday operations which will effect all supporters.
Our staff and officials will ensure your match day experience is as safe and enjoyable as possible but we ask that you follow the guidance below and any other instructions given to you.
Please bear with us during busy periods and your help and understanding is, as ever, greatly appreciated - by following all of the guidance we can continue to allow spectators in to watch matches at the Crest Finance Stadium.
TRACK AND TRACE
The NHS has launched a new app for mobile phones which will give you updates on the current coronavirus situation where you live and can also be used to log the places you have visited and then give you alerts and guidance if any of those venues or their visitors are effected by a Covid-19 outbreak.
What it means to visitors to AFC Portchester is that you can now use the app to register at the turnstiles instead of having to write down your name and contact details. Simply scan the QR code displayed at the entrance.
We urge that all supporters who can download the app to their mobile phone to do so as it will help to speed up the entry process to the stadium.
Don’t worry if you can’t download the app, you will still be able to register your details and enter the stadium site.
WEARING OF MASKS
The wearing of masks in some areas of the ground is now necessary and this has changed since our last match day.
You will be required to wear a mask when entering the turnstiles area, using our tea hut refreshment facilities, entering any of our clubhouse/bar areas and when using toilets. Indoors you can only remove your mask once seated at your allotted table.
Please also remember to use the soap for hand washing in the toilets and the hand sanitiser provided at the turnstiles, our refreshments kiosk and the entry points to our buildings.
SERVING OF ALCOHOLIC DRINKS
In line with the new government guidance, no drinks will be served directly from our bars.
All spectators wishing to purchase something from the bar must be seated at a table and wait for a member of staff to take their order - please bear with us during busy periods. We have extra staff working and will get to you as soon as possible.
We must also advise spectators that you have to remain seated at your table with your drinks - you will not be permitted to walk with them to another part of the stadium.
With the number of tables limited in number - although we will have four areas open where table service will be available - we urge all supporters wanting to use our bar facilities to book a table in advance of any match day.
Tables of up to six people are available - a reservation charge of £1 per person will be made when entering the stadium in addition to the match ticket price.
To book a table in advance please indicate how many people you are booking for and if you have any particular preferences as to where your table is located (these requests will be accommodated subject to availability) and email these details to firstname.lastname@example.org Your entry tickets and table booking details will be left on the gate under your name to collect on match day.
Any remaining tables will be made available on a first come, first served basis on match days. Please also note that if you are allocated an outside table, due to limits on our inside capacity you will not be able to move inside unless a table is available.
Spectators are still allowed to watch our matches at the Crest Finance Stadium and we are still limited to a capacity of 300 people - once this figure is reached we will be unable to allow any more people in.
Therefore, we advise those thinking of attending a match to pre-book their tickets - these will be left at the turnstile under your name to collect on match day.
Please email your name and the tickets you require to email@example.com
Supporters can guarantee entry to league games by purchasing a season ticket. For more details and to purchase season tickets email firstname.lastname@example.org
It remains absolutely crucial that all visitors to the Crest Finance Stadium observe social distancing rules at all times.
Please do not stand or sit in groups of more than six people and keep the required distance apart from other groups/individuals.
If the area you are looking to stand in is already busy, please move to an area where social distancing can be correctly maintained. Please do not stand in any areas marked with yellow lines - you may be blocking the view of someone else.
Some seats are now not available to be used so that social distancing can be maintained. Only those seats marked with a tick sticker can be used, those marked with a cross sticker must remain empty.
Please also ensure when queuing at the turnstile, tea bar refreshment kiosk and toilets to leave the required room between yourself and the person in front of you.
Please also follow any requests or instructions from stewards/staff/club officials in the stadium so that the Covid-19 guidelines are being followed at all times.
