AFC Portchester will be hoping the weather conditions improve in the run up to Christmas so they can get playing again.
The Royals have been left kicking their heels during the past two Saturdays after their scheduled fixtures were both postponed.
Mick Catlin’s side have not played since December 1 when they went down 2-1 at Bashley in the Wessex Premier Division.
They were due to play Tadley Calleva at the Crest Finance Stadium on December 8 but with the players out on the pitch ready to kick-off the game, the referee decided the playing surface was too waterlogged to start the match following a heavy downpour shortly before kick-off.
Portchester were due to head to Team Solent on December 15 but following heavy rain throughout the morning, the match was inevitably postponed following a pitch inspection at 11am.
The next scheduled match is this coming Tuesday night (December 18) in the Wessex Premier Division when Portchester head to Hamble Club, kick-off 7.45pm.
The Royals then face a long road trip next Saturday, December 22, when they take on Portland United in the quarter finals of the Sydenhams Wessex League Cup, kick-off 3pm.
The next home match is against Alresford Town on Saturday, December 29, in the Wessex Premier Division. Kick-off is at 3pm.
