AFC Portchester have completed the first of four crucial Saturday away games in a row with their win over AFC Stoneham at the weekend.

The Royals will be clocking up the miles on the south’s motorways and A roads before their next Saturday home game on October 26.

Saturday brought the short trip - 34 miles there and back - to Stoneham and the team returned home with a 3-0 win to move up to fourth place in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division table.

This coming Saturday, October 5, Portchester head to Lymington Town in the league - a 76 mile round trip.

October 12 brings the mammoth 284 mile round trip to Cullompton Rangers in the First Round of the FA Vase.

October 19 will bring some respite for travelling supporters when the first team heads to Hamble Club in the league, a mere 26 mile round trip.

There are some home matches dotted around the Saturday away treks, starting with this coming Wednesday evening.

The Royals are at home to Solent University in the league on October 2 - kick-off at the Crest Finance Stadium is 7.45pm.

Hampshire Premier League outfit Overton United will be the visitors on October 16 for a Russell Cotes Cup tie.
