AFC Portchester’s work supporting the community during the ongoing coronavirus crisis continues this week.
The growing army of volunteers working with the AFC Portchester Covid-19 Mutual Support Group have helped a number of vulnerable people in the Portchester area already.
For those unable to venture out, volunteers have picked up prescriptions for vital medication and also delivered food parcels for those in need of basic essentials.
Amy’s Kitchen service, based at the football club’s Crest Finance Stadium home, has also been preparing hot meals and delivering them to people in the community.
The support group is also continuing to receive donations of food, hygiene products and pet food to its food bank service, which is then being distributed to those people in need of these items in the Portchester area - the picture at the bottom of this story shows deliveries which were going out to the community today.
Last week we put out a call for pet food and this brought an immediate response. The Tiggy’s Heath Pet Pantry in Portchester made the donation pictured at the top of this story; and Jim Derry also made a contribution of pet food - which can be seen in the picture left.
There are plenty of ways you can get involved in supporting our work and if you need help please contact us so we can give you the support you need from our team of volunteers.

Sandwiches start from just £1.50 and hot meal prices start from just £3. To place orders and for further enquiries call Amy on 07835 769669.
