The club have formed a link with Fareham College for a football Academy which will start in September 2017.
Over the coming months we will be holding seminars to attract candidates for next year.

As part of the academy programme you will receive three hours of football coaching per week alongside Speed, Agility, Quickness (SAQ) and Strength and Conditioning sessions. All coaching will be facilitated by professional UEFA qualified coaches. You will also compete against other colleges and academies on Wednesday afternoons during your programme. Those also enrolled on the course will be given free training kit.

The football academy will be delivered in conjunction with AFC Portchester. Academy players will have the opportunity to compete in the FA Youth Cup and Hampshire Midweek Floodlight Cup alongside playing professional football teams in friendly fixtures. All training and home fixtures will take place at AFC Portchester’s stadium.

The AFC Portchester Academy aims to give learners a route back into professional football, but also to achieve a recognised sporting qualification. AFC Portchester have a history of producing young talented footballers with Andy Rinomhota (Reading FC) and James Cowan (Dundee FC) the latest to sign contracts for professional sides. The academy is currently recruiting for anyone aged 16 – 19.
