It will be celebration time at AFC Portchester this Saturday – but only after the serious business of another league match is completed.

The Royals welcome Portland United to The OnSite Group Stadium for their final home league game of the season – bars/food available from 1pm, kick off 3pm.

Three points would put Gav Spurway’s side into the Wessex League Premier Division’s 100 club – a club which boasts some of the best and biggest non-league clubs in the region.

A win against Portland would see Portchester become the first Wessex Premier Division champions to reach 100 points since Sholing in 2019.

Other members of the 100 point club include Salisbury, Winchester City, Poole Town, AFC Totton and Blackfield and Langley.

Once the final whistle blows more celebrations like those seen on Tuesday night at Cowes will be the order of the day when the trophy presentation ceremony takes place.

Supporters must allow the players and coaching staff from both sides and the match officials to leave the pitch before the trophy presentation event can take place.

Once the pitch is cleared, pitch perimeter gates will be opened to allow supporters to go on to the pitch in front of the decking by our hospitality area on the half way line.

This will give everyone the opportunity to get a good view of the ceremony, which will see all of the coaching staff and players introduced to the crowd before Nick Taplin, chairman of the Velocity Wessex League, presents the Premier Division trophy to Royals captain James Cowan.

Straight after the presentation the promotion party will get under way in the fanzone area – all are invited and it will give spectators the opportunity to meet the players and coaching staff and get some pictures with the trophy too.

Normal ticket prices will apply for this match – adults £8, concessions £4 and free entry for under-16s when accompanied by an adult.

Season ticket holders and sponsors with membership cards are reminded that they get free entry to this game by showing their card at the turnstiles – as they have been able to do so for league games throughout the season.

You can pay on the day but with a very busy matchday anticipated the quickest way to gain entry to the stadium is to purchase your tickets in advance.
