Ground Regulations

To ensure the safety and enjoyment at AFC Portchester, all visitors must adhere to our official Ground Regulations. These rules outline what's permitted on matchdays and help us maintain a secure environment for fans, players, and staff.

Definitions:

“Ground” refers to the stadium and all areas owned, occupied or operated by AFC Portchester.

“Club” means AFC Portchester.

“Match” means any football fixture held at the Ground.

“Material” refers to any audio, visual, or data recordings.

“Football Authority” includes The FA, Hampshire FA, UEFA, and other relevant football bodies.

1. Entry and Ejection

Admission may be refused or revoked by stewards or the police if a person:

Fails to comply with these regulations or steward/police instructions.

Is, or is likely to be, a danger, nuisance or annoyance to others.

Entry will be denied to individuals subject to a current Football Banning Order or convicted of ticket touting.

2. Liability

The Club accepts no liability for loss, injury, or damage to persons or property within the Ground.

3. Match Changes

The Club cannot guarantee a match will take place as scheduled. Matches may be rescheduled without notice or liability, other than any applicable refund (see Section 4).

4. Postponements & Refunds

In the event of postponement or abandonment, refunds (if any) will follow the Club’s refund policy. AFC Portchester is not liable for any indirect losses such as travel or accommodation costs.

5. Searches

The Club reserves the right to search anyone entering the Ground and to refuse entry to those who decline.

6. Prohibited Items

You must not bring:

Knives, flares, fireworks, smoke bombs, air horns, glass containers, cans, poles, laser devices, or any item deemed hazardous.

Flags/banners larger than 2m x 1m or any offensive content.

Promotional materials, unless approved by the Club.

7. Conduct

Threatening, abusive, foul, or racist language or behaviour is strictly prohibited and will result in removal and possible ban.

Discriminatory chants or harassment based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or religion are not tolerated.

Offences such as throwing objects, entering restricted areas, or engaging in racist chanting are punishable by law and may result in police action and banning orders.

8. Seating & Standing

Please sit in your designated seat if applicable. Standing in seated areas during play is not allowed and may lead to ejection.

9. Safety & Access

Do not block gangways, exits, or staircases. Climbing on structures or entering restricted areas is prohibited.

10. Mobile Devices

Mobile phones are allowed but may only be used for private, non-commercial use. No live-streaming or media capture for commercial use is allowed without permission.

11. Alcohol & Intoxication

It is a criminal offence to attempt to enter the Ground while drunk or to be in possession of alcohol in view of the pitch (as per the Sporting Events Act 1985).

12. Recording & Intellectual Property

No one may record or broadcast any part of the match for commercial purposes without a license.

All content recorded inside the Ground may be claimed as Club property and may be used for promotional or security purposes.

13. Ticketing

Tickets are non-transferable without Club approval. Anyone found to be reselling tickets may be refused entry or ejected. Tickets remain Club property at all times.

14. CCTV and Personal Data

CCTV is in operation for your safety. Footage may be used by the Club, law enforcement or football authorities. Entry constitutes agreement to the Club’s use of such data in line with GDPR and our privacy policy.

15. Media & Publicity

By entering, you consent to being photographed, filmed or recorded. These images may be used by AFC Portchester or media partners for promotion or security.

16. Club Sanctions

Anyone refused entry or ejected from the Ground may also face further Club action, including bans or the cancellation of memberships and season tickets without refund.
