AFC Portchester recorded a 1-0 victory over Petersfield Town in their pre-season friendly last Saturday.

The early morning rain cleared to leave muggy, overcast conditions and the two sides produced a competitive encounter as they draw closer to the start of their respective seasons.

The Royals returned back down the A3 with the victory thanks to Ryan Pennery’s first half free kick.
