AFC Portchester have moved to secure the services of a quad squad duo by adding two more of the 2024-25 team to those players on contract.
And two of manager Gav Spurway’s new arrivals have also signed contracts with the club on securing their moves to The OnSite Group Stadium.
Striker Alfie Stanley and midfielder Calvin Davies are the close season new arrivals so far and both put pen to paper on joining the club.
Goalkeeper Steven Mowthorpe and defender Archie Willcox played crucial roles in the promotion-winning and three cup-winning squad last season.
Both were part of a defence which kept a total of 29 clean sheets during the 2024-25 campaign – almost half of the 59 games played in total during what proved to be a hugely successful season.
Mowthorpe has so far made 187 appearances for the Royals since joining the club before the 2021-22 season. Archie Willcox has made 87 appearances for Portchester to date and scored 12 goals since his arrival at the club in the summer of 2023.
Striker Alfie Stanley was with Gosport Borough last season and after starting his career with Portsmouth, he has also had spells with Dorchester Town and AFC Totton.
Midfielder Calvin Davies also started his playing career with Pompey before moving to Bognor Regis Town, where he made 264 appearances and scored ten goals in almost a decade of playing for the Rocks.
