The game was played in roasting hot conditions – the temperature was around the 30 degrees mark and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky to give those playing and watching any relief from the unrelenting sunshine.

The home side took the lead early in the first half before Portchester got back on level terms thanks to a goal from Ryan Pennery on 26 minutes.

The teams went in level at the break but in the second half the home side scored twice to run out winners.
